How To Take Care of Your Lips

Taking care of your lips is just as important as taking care of your skin. Unfortunely, most often this step is forgotten and left out of the skin care routine.

To help you get those perfect lips, I have listed some suggestions down below.

1. Exfoliate your lips.

Exfoliating once a week will remove the top dead layer of skin, get rid of any peeling and flakiness.

A lip exfoliator can be purchased or made at home using sugar and honey.

When exfoliating:

A) Be very gentle because the skin on your lips is very thin.

B) Massage the scrub on your lips in a circular motion.

The after results of lip exfoliation will include plump and healthy lips.

2. Keep your lips hydrated.

Lips loose hydration very quickly, so it is important to keep them well moisturized throughout the day. Using a lip balm or a chapstick will do the job.

Lack of hydrated lips will quicken the lips aging process, making them dull and wrinkely.

3. Protect your lips from UV rays.

The sun can do damage to your lips, as it can to your skin. Hence, it is important to use a chapstick that contains SPF. SPF will protect your lips from darkening, getting sun spots, drying out and aging faster.
